Opening the Floor For Debate
Okay, I was going through withdrawls a little, so I had to come out quick and leave an open comment thread. But there's a catch, or rather a subject. Dave R sent me a link for an odd little baby toy, and I wanted to see what else we could all dig up. (Sorry, Dave, I already bagged the link)
Have at, folks.

Ms M. Did I miss something? I don't see a link, and I'm keen to debate something....

Thankfully, I never had to do the "here comes the airplane, open up the hangar" with Ian. He ate as he wanted and only when hungry and never was a problem at the table.
But if he was, I still wouldn't use the "here comes the airplane, open up the hangar" method. It seems sort of stupid. Why not instead establish a pattern of having intelligent discussions with your child by simply saying "here's the food if you're hungry"?
I think all of those airplanes and choo-choo-trains and what-nots contributes to eating disorders by forcing food on the toddler.

I think it's more for the parents who get bored feeding their child to play with.
